Green Goddess

Project Summary:

150 Woodland Acres is a big property with a big personality; focusing on enhancing its flourishing green landscape and creating clean lines, we were able to enhance the natural beauty of this property. A circular driveway is grand in nature but combined with Rinox ash charcoal inlays with fresh asphalt surrounding, this driveway’s beauty speaks for itself. To match the inlays on the driveway, we used the same pavers for the borders and multiple elevations leading to the front porch. Ash charcoal pavers and asphalt let the surrounding green hues pop. Shades of green come from the green velvet boxwood shrubs, Karley rose fountain grass and little bunny fountain grass while shades of pink stem from the Chinese Peony and Hydragnas. A key feature that gives this property a unique essence is a stunning garden bed laid in the centre of multiple elevations leading to the front porch. Our homeowner describes it as a “breath of fresh air with each step”. Moving to the back of the property, a custom elevation made from Ipe decking adds a natural warmth while perfectly complimenting the red tones in the bricks of the home. A retaining wall was built around the sunken patio; the different elevations work with the existing landscape in a functional yet elegant way. Boxwood shrubs, green velvet boxwood shrubs, Karley rose fountain grass, little bunny fountain grass, Chinese peony and hydrangeas were planted in the back of the property, creating a cohesive flow between the two spaces. Garden beds in perfect squares add clean lines and structure to this lush landscape.
