Where rustic charm meets contemporary flair, a modern country essence is felt at every turn. We approached this project by pulling inspiration from the gorgeous existing home. Themes of dark detailing with light contrasts compliment the black window framing and white wood panelling. The first use of dark detailing can be found in the Basalt 3 x 8 pavers in Unilock Copthorne pattern for the walkway, front porch, and side/back entrances. This walkway mirrors the black granite natural coping used to frame the porch and driveway. This framing includes interlocking inlays that add a cohesive balance to the overall stonework. We planted lush Hydrangeas to add colour and a sense of fullness while Boxwood shrubs provide year-round structure and pops of green. Planting along the driveway using Emerald Cedars works to provide privacy while adding vertical dimension! To complete this stunning property, a freshly paved driveway was a must. This driveway works as the perfect blank slate that enhances the various spaces where detailed stonework was used.
